Why is writing so difficult?

Okay so here's an Atlantis update/question for you all!
The update is, i got stuck while writing chapter 2, so I've currently been just planning and laying out what each chapter will be for/about etc.
And my question is, I've starting laying out the Loutus Hotel chapter and I want to know;
Would guys prefer the shows version? Or the book version of events?
I love both versions, which is why I'm stuck on which version to follow the most...
I want to mix both versions, but I also suck at writing and don't want to. So........Please help!
