I don’t think I am a good writer. I don’t think I am a terrible writer, either. I think I can string coherent sentences together which, whilst readable, are ultimately unextraordinary.
But I was reading some of my blogs ( even the blogs I wrote when I was still in High School ) the other day and other pieces I’ve done ( published and unpublished stories ), and I felt a bit of pride for what I had created. I’m my own worst judge, but I actually thought some of it was good.( Even my blogs I wrote in High School consist with 85% grammatical error LOL )
Then there are you guys. Your feedback — good and bad — is why I write here in Watty, in addition to it being nice to have an audience.
Regardless, writing is definitely something you learn on the job. New skills are developed as you read and write more, and inevitably, get better. That isn’t what I learned, however.
I learned that I might actually not be bad at this, which is good enough for me.
