@carnagerot oh definitely! OBX’s issue was they kept trying to go bigger when really they struck gold (pardon the pun) with the whole initial treasure hunt thing. the FURTHEST they plausibly should have gone was the island in obx3. taking it bigger than that made it silly. 
            
            i’m really mourning what could have been :’) obx1 was lowkey incredible with such a good cliffhanger, obx2 built on that, it all started going downhill from there (in more ways than one, rudison, etc etc etc)

honestly looking back it probably would’ve been better as a limited series. john b and sarah being rescued after the storm and realising they’re heading to where the gold is. ends on a mystery the same way it started 

haven’t even seen obx4 or 5, i’m just mad they turned a TEEN DRAMA SHOW into what it was. bad writing, immature cast, immature fans.

not saying they should’ve recast him, rudy made jj who he is deffo, just a shame he couldn’t be mature on that set. lol
