Art school isn’t exactly fun all the time, especially when you’re given tasks even at a time when you’re experiencing creative burnout. You can’t always paint/draw/design the things you like either. It’s the same thing with getting a job as an illustrator or designer in a company in the future, you don’t always get to do the jobs you LIKE or ENJOY

But… I really love art. I may not understand every creation painted by those geniuses from the past, I may be stupid as fuck, but I’d rather design or make art of something I don’t like rather than actually going a different direction that has nothing to do with art. I used to worry about myself, because this path of mine is different from my family members’ paths, most of them being politicians, lawyers, IT people, journalists, etc. I’m still worried, but art is what I want to stick to.

You can end up making a design or artwork that you absolutely DESPISE and the customer could absolutely love it. Or you can end up making a design you absolutely adore and the customer won’t like it and end up making you change it..

Ykno I feel bad for young me thinking that life would be easy breezy when I get into art school but it ain’t like that at all. Now I don’t even know what mental health or health is, I also developed a really intimate relationship with coffee (younger me didn’t even drink coffee sjdjsjxs)

But hey, better suffer doing what I like to do than suffer doing what I despise: math.
