I totally get what you mean about the conventionally good-looking girl being shunned by her peers until the hottest guy takes interest in her and it's like who's repping us girls that don't always look catwalk ready? I'm not saying that fit guys can't go with nerdy girls who also just happen to look like they belong on the cover of Teen Vogue but it always seems like some sort of an epiphany for him that she is just so hot & smart - you can totally be both but in most books it's after the 'makeover'. And why are the girls always pitted against each other? The 'good' one against the 'slutty/bitchy' one is really overused in my opinion - some of my crushes have gone with the nicest girls and they were never mean...wait, does this mean that *I* am the bitchy one in all this? *gasps* That explains so much then aha
And I agree, Drew is a sweetie pie. He doesn't like Sophia (as a friend...or more even?) because of her looks and it's the same for her. They're just two confused teenagers who argue most of the time and have to deal with family/friends/love issues.
