Hello, Im going to rant on about an issue that is occurring on wattpad a lot so please read ahead, it means a lot to me and im sure a lot of other people. <3
A lot of people on Wattpad are attracted to novels and written works by the amount of reads. Me, personally I find myself doing the exact same from time to time unconsciously so I completely understand the feeling of curiosity, thinking wow 69M reads? However from time to time I find myself discovering various phenomenal writers which I completely fall in love with, only to see they have merely any followers or reads, or any recognition at all. Wattpad is full of passionate, extraordinary writers. So as a little message I just want to say if you are a writer who is passionate with their writing and loves to do what they're doing, yet you're doubting yourself because of the amount of reads or followers you have, please dont. Because the amount of reads or votes or comments you have does not determine your ability to write. You can be just as good as a writer with millions of reads. And if you are a reader that is struggling to find the perfect fictional story for you, or the perfect humorous story, be open to all stories, because I assure you that you will be surprised by how many different stories you can find on wattpad. Never be attracted to a story by the number of reads or by the recognision a certain book has gotten, of course they may be great, however, there can be better. Never hesitate to read a book either just because it us unknown. Trust me, you will be surprised. <3
