There's this one book I'm trying to find from Wattys 2015 where in a fantasy world a bald girl who has been shunned from the village is sent to die in a forest but she ends up meeting a blind man and starts looking after his garden so she doesn't have to leave. Cutting hair is a shameful thing in the village so she doesn't want to go back. She's giving the guy a haircut when they somehow fall in love and yada yada.
After fighting off the evil rich guy that was chasing her, he is crying to a friend that he just wants to see her once for their wedding day. His sight is restored in one eye and he starts crying right befor their wedding. Then they just go back to the forest.
