Love, my friend, is greater than faith and hope. It is the reason He gave His Son to die for our sins. A sinless GodMan who was crushed by His own Father in heaven under His wrath, completely forsaken.
We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).
He is love so he must hate. Love what is righteous and hate what is unrighteousness. We cannot have obedience if we do not love. We cannot be righteous if we do not hate. So, if Christ as our righteousness hates sin, then why can't we grieve when we do one, even in the smallest one? Love must be sincere: there must be hate to evil and cling to good (Romans 12:9).
Why? He tells us one thing: “Do everything in love.” — 1 Cor. 16:14
Each time we woke up, remember His unfailing love, and trust in Him who will show us the way that we must go (Psa. 143:8). We must walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God (Eph. 5:2). Loving Him is keeping His commands (John 14:15). Love is not us who loved God, but it is God sending his Son for the atonement of our sins (1 John 4:10). Because what covers over a multitude of sins is love (1 Peter 4:8). Even the first said fruit of the Spirit is love, then joy, peace, forbearance, and the others follow after it (Gal. 5:22-23).
So love, my fellow. For as it is said, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.” (John 15:13)
Do not be conformed in the way of the world. Why do we must not love the world or anything in the world? Because if anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in us (1 John 2:15).
