Oh my gosh oh my gosh. Thor: Ragnarok.
Somewhere along the way in the years of waiting for this movie, I lost the expectation for it to be great. I stopped hoping that I'd love how it ended, and how the characters were portrayed, that there would be character development, or the little details the fanfic writers need, or a thousand references and tie-ins to making me cry....
Because it had everything. I loved it, and I loved how Loki was portrayed and where he went throughout the movie, and how Thor interacted with him, and all of the parts involving him--because Loki is so much a part of me at this point I hadn't expected I'd ever be satisfied with seeing someone else's representation of him, but he... like... I'm so freaking happy.
And I cried, which seriously never happens. I just don't cry during movies, or reading books, or ever outside of anxiety attacks. But then they played music from the original Thor soundtrack there at the end and I lost it. It was brilliantly done, like the rest of the movie, and I can't wait until everyone in the fandom can see it. <3
