so i’m not new to wattpad itself but i am new to writing for wattpad—
authors, how do you guys get reads? are there certain strategies you use, etc? & what tags would you recommend to help promote new books?

@cupofmoonbeams Just updating consistently really, it keeps you in the ranks/algorithm. R4Rs can be helpful although they can be tiring sometimes. Posting on your annoucements whenever you update helps, so does posting your story in promotion books. As far as tags I can't think of any specific tags to help with promotion, but you should use the max number of tags, sometimes after a while I'll switch out a few tags for new ones.
