I still love that people add my books to their reading lists. I wish Wattpad had a section that lets writers know how many people have their book on someone's reading list.

Hey everyone 
          
          I wanted to give you all a quick update: The Deception of Us is finally getting new chapters!!
          
           Chapter release schedule:
          • Trauma Journal Pt. 1: Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 11:45 PM EDT
          • Trauma Journal Pt. 2: Friday, March 20, 2026 at 12:00 AM EDT
          
          Yes… they’re basically back-to-back 
          
          I also want to be completely honest with you all, I didn’t go back and fully edit or polish these chapters. So if they’re a little rough… I’m sorry in advance 
          
          And I KNOW it’s been a long time since the last chapter (back in 2024… yeah… I know). I am genuinely so sorry for disappearing like that. Life has been a lot, but I’ve missed this story and all of you more than I can explain.
          
          Thank you for sticking with me, for your patience, and for still caring about this story. It truly means everything 
          
          I hope you enjoy the new chapters, chaos and all.

Just reread the first chapter of the very first book I posted on here and… wow. It is so bad.  At the time I wrote it, I thought I was absolutely COOKING, like Gordon Ramsay levels of talent. Turns out I was more like microwaving leftovers.
          
          Lowkey though… now I kind of want to remaster it and actually make it good.

I loved Wattpad at the start of it, back in 2015. I never had issues with people finding my stories around then. Now, it's like they're just on a shelf collecting dust.

@curlynnxo Same! It made me not want to write for a min, but then I was like ehh I'll just use Wattpad as practice now. If people read that's cool if not it's whatever.

I have a break next week and I'll try and give you guys more and will hopefully finish the book! 
          
          Then I'll try and start on one of the other books that I ended on cliffhangers (my bad for that, lmao). I can't guarantee they'll be any good, but it's worth a shot, I guess.

I'm going to continue writing soon, closer to December. I'm still in the middle of taking an online accelerated college course and in the midst of moving! 
          
          Once I set up my new desk and everything, I might have some inspiration and motivation to write and finish this book.
