Hello everyone! How are you? I know it's been awhile since I last posted Somewhere Deep Within, and then, out of nowhere- a new work drops.

"And the world listens" is something completely different. For one, it's mostly in prose form. It's meant to be motivational and inspirational promoting mental health awareness and self-love. But on the other hand, it is a discussion on mental health, and the ups and downs of life in the best way I could. You may not know me in real life but it is, in the way, the most honest, raw form of me. Do check it out, if you could.

Thank you so much for the votes, reads and support. I know I'm not as vocal nor as active as I should. I am trying to change that. That's all for now. Have a nice day!

Hey everyone; how are you? I know, I know - it's been a while, and so sorry for not being active these days. Don't worry - I haven't forgotten about Somewhere Deep Within. An update is currently under works. Meanwhile, if you'd like to read more of my stuff, check out my latest work: Words I Do Not Own. It is a collection of random musings, poetry, and prose about anything, and everything. If you have any writing prompts, send them in! I might write something about it. Thanks everyone and have a nice day!

okay so there's a typhoon in here (@/Manila friends stay safe!) and it's a good time to write. Almost there. By the way, are you guys interested in reading poetry? I happen to write poems and I would love to share it here. What do you think!

          Thanks!

          (oh and I'm 17 now)

Hello. So yes, I'm still writing the update though for  the  next few days I'll be away due personal family reasons. I may not be able to reply to your comments and messages but I've read them and I greatly appreciate it. :D

If you read my profile, you may notice there is only one other work apart from SDW. The Skywatcher is an unfinished original story - and will probably remain that way forever. It is supposed to tell the story of two Filipino siblings and their bond tested through circumstance and time. I initally stopped because the idea was too big to handle for my thirteen year old writing skills. But now, I just think the idea itself isn't as compelling as it sounded back then. The only reason why it's still here online is to serve as a time capsule for the readers and myself to compare my writing style then and now.

If you read this, you may notice a key difference: tense change. For TS I used past tense, heavy on action words  and the telling. SDW uses present tense, even on flashbacks.

There's another huge difference between my writing then and now but it isn't so obvious. It lies on how the story is told figuratively. I used to write stories for storytelling sake- the words and message straight to the point. This time, however, I use literary devices such as easter eggs, metaphors, foreshadowing, allegories - the good stuff. I also plan ahead the events  and sequencing of  the chapters in excruciating detail. I think this is largely influenced by writing poetry in the last two years and as poems go, not everything is found in the surface.

Somewhere Deep Within may be a fan fic, but in no way is it simply just. Everything you see and read, insignificant it may seem, lies a reason. This is why I love writing it, and why I am keen to finish it once and for all. So please be a little patient. I hope you all look forward to the next update. It's going to be emotionally heavy so you're in for a ride.

Thanks again and have a nice day!

          ❤ Vicky

@cutienerdypie I'm looking forward to reading the update, but I understand you'll be away for a few days because of personal reasons. But I find it very interesting how your writing has changed a lot when I read The Skywatcher after reading SDW. I love the improvement, and also how you plan the chapters out in such detail. I'm honestly kind of jealous there, but in a good way, since you're just 16 years old and an amazing writer. And no problem <3 Have a nice day as well!

Hello everyone! It's past six in the morning from where I am and I am almost done cooking breakfast *fist bumps*. I only had three hours of sleep so I apologize if I'm not in the right state of mind for replying to your messages. I'll get back to you later.

So wow- a hundred views in just a short amount of time. Thank you so much; I'm really honored. I'd like to give a special shoutout to @QueenQuinnV who played a huge role in this sudden influx of readers. Thank you so much, for taking the chance to respond to a nobody and do more than expected.

In case you missed it, part five is up and thus, the end of Chapter I (in ao3). We have already caught up! I have included a video of me (yes, ME as in MY FACE ME) singing Bloodbath, an original song I wrote specifically for this fic. This is the first, but won't be the last of original songs and lyrics to be featured in this story. This is after all, a musician composer AU (though an unconventional one.) Please don't hesitate to vote, comment, message or tell me what you think. I'd love to hear more from you!

That being said, the next update might take a while, but the good news is it's probably going to be longer. I'm currently writing it but so far it's been tough. Not only is this important plot wise, but also emotionally taxing in my part. You may create a story out of assumptions, but it is only when you truly understand what you are writing about that you can ultimately define an experience.

As a thank you for all the love and support, here's a line from the next song on the list:

[ Do you know who you are? ]

Again, thank you and have a nice day!

          ~ Vicky

It's weird. The last time I've been here it was over a year ago, trying to search for inspiration only to find it no longer exists - literally. Apparently it was an "uplifting" comment to remind me why I write in the first place. Anyway, I'm back, for a somewhat similar reason: to share my written content on a familiar platform I turned my back one too many times, but in the end always gave a chance.

Regardless here I am, this time writing fanfiction, and probably staying longer. I can guarantee you twelve year old me DID NOT expect future self to do this. Though for every story I put in here there lies a compelling reason, so there's that.

To my new followers, hello and thank you. I'm Vicky- nice meeting you. I'm really happy you're all here and I do hope I get to know each and everyone of you. I'd love to hear what you think so don't hesitate to hit up the comments or message button. Somewhere Deep Within may contain familiar, beloved characters but they are on a different setting, and havedifferent problems to face. Expect the fic to be full of metaphors, easter eggs and hidden references. I am a sucker for it.

It's past one in the morning here so I probably should bid adieu. Again, thank you. ❤
