Hey readers! It's been about two years since I wrote and posted FAUTW, and I feel as though there are some important things to address. I'm sure by now that everyone is aware of the Wilbur situation, so I wanted to come here and answer some questions that people may be having. First, will this fic be affected? No, it won't. I don't plan to take it down or change the characters/fandom. As a fanfic reader myself, I absolutely understand the pain of wanting to re-read your favorite work, only to realize it was deleted forever. And while I strongly disagree with Wilbur's actions towards Shelby and believe in always supporting victims, I have no right to take this fic away from someone who might be struggling, coping, or seeking writing inspiration. Second, will I be writing any more Dream SMP fics? No, and I don't plan to. It's been two years and fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, I've moved on to other things. As much as I've loved and treasured the world of L'manburg and Snowchester and Las Nevadas, it feels like another Minecraft YouTuber crosses over to the dark side every other week. Morally and emotionally, I can't put my time and passion into works that will inevitably be tainted by the content creators I chose to write about. Lastly, if you're going through any form of abuse, from a parent, friend, partner, or stranger, there are hotlines you can call, resources you can use, and people you can tell. I know that it's hard to believe, but trust me when I say that things do get better. And to everyone reading, please make sure to take care of yourself. Drink water, take an optimal temperature shower, go for a walk, cuddle with some stuffed animals, whatever you need to do. You come first, not finishing this silly fic I wrote two years ago <3

My heart goes out to all of Technoblade's friends and family. I cannot fathom how much grief you must be going through, and I sincerely hope that we can all remember your friend or your son as the legend he is.

Technoblade may be physically gone, but he will live eternally in our hearts. His legacy is more than a memory; it's a community consisting of millions. He has inspired videos, art, stories, cosplays, etc. His sense of humor has been a safe place for people who are
struggling to lean into. And the money he helped raise for cancer research will save thousands. He will not be forgotten.

          Because Technoblade never dies.
