Dana Melina Keawe is a Kanaka Maoli author, poet, farmer, and a political environmental activist. She just published and released her first book in July 2013 called 'IKUWĀ - Voices of the Ancestors.

This book is a compilation of poems, stories, and memoirs she has written about her life growing up and living here in Hawai'i. And also from life experiences; university education, travels, and spiritual teachers.

This is her story and offering, to the Earth... to the human race. May this book bring inspiration, faith, and voice for the silent ones.

Half of the proceeds from this special book will go towards promoting and supporting Native Hawaiian healthcare, through Hui Mālama Ola Nā ' Ōiwi and Natural Farming research centers on Hawai'i Island. To start community gardens in all of the Hawaiian homesteads and throughout Hawai'i.
