So this a rant for my followers, whose numbers do not matter.
I have a habit of talking only about myself so I'll start now.
I just finished a short story on Wattpad (I won't name it) and it made me think. I know writing tragedies is MUCH EASIER than literally anything else. I mean while you write a story it's easy to think "hmm maybe I'll kill him/her off! That'll get more readers!"
While this is true, what I want to know is... What happened to good old fairytales? Is having a happy ending really THAT unrealistic? Has Modernity left us with absolutely no hope?
I would like to think it's not. I believe there's hope in this world, even during the worst of times. *cough* WWII *cough* (no really I'd have questioned the existence of God had I been alive then) even now with Syria there's so much going on... But I'm rambling.
So I'll come to the point, the millenials have become so attached to fatalistic pov, where death is almost everywhere and final and everything bad, maybe think a bit positive and start believing?
Bring back happy endings?
