            Oh, he could move instead of sitting at the table right beside hers. Head over six or seven tables in whatever direction, but at the end of the day, it wasn't going to make a whole lot of difference. The irritating undertone of her sighs was still going to be echoing in his sensitive ears. "Deals aren't the best option then if they're already late. You hunt down their family, tear the entire lot apart and make them realise that their games aren't appreciated. You're in control of the narrative. You don't need to just sit there waiting to make a deal to get what you want," he pointed out dryly. If someone had kept him waiting, Kazimir would have had a list already and half their family would have been hunted to extinction. There were no deals to be done with people who couldn't be bothered to give a little to start with.

 ⠀⠀⠀ “you must have quite the hearing if you heard that sigh,”  she mused.  “considering it was no doubt muffled by the mask.”  people had always been annoying to her, but he was becoming particularly so.  “the person that i’m supposed to be meeting is running awfully late, and it’s rather disappointing. god forbid a girl is annoyed that she can’t make a deal.”  she didn’t care who knew—- she already had a reputation that had reached as far as klaus mikaelson’s, just for very different reasons.  “if i’m that distracting from your coffee, you could always just move to a different table.. that shouldn’t be too difficult for you, right? i mean, you clearly have legs that work.”
