Read Hybrid by @skylerFrey

At first I did not like it, thought the beginning was way to slow and also thought I'd be reading more about family drama rather than an actual hero. However, the simplicity of the text just got me curious. The writer is clearly not writing to impress but writing to share a story in the simplest of forms so that their readers understand and somehow attach themselves to the story and it's characters.
If that was the intention, then it worked for me.
Book 2 is apparently in the works and I am looking forward to it.
