As the fireworks burst through the night sky and fiery boom amongst the stars, Jakob and I sit together on the green grass patch in campus. Around us, other students were chattering and laughing.
His shoulder nudges mine and I look into his burning light brown eyes.
"I hate you," I whisper jokingly while swatting his shoulder.
"Nah. You adore me." Jakob chuckles, shaking his head and using his hand to hold my chin. "Too much love for hate. Admit that-"
He flashes That Smile and I immediately melt on the spot.
