I just got back from my hiatus since my mum's death and decided to publish again, but Wattpad just got an update and anytime I press the publish button, the chapter just gets saved to my drafts, what do you propose I do?

Try updating the app, logging out and back in, or publishing from Chrome/web instead of the mobile app. Sometimes chapters get stuck in drafts because of the app bug.
