          You're right, the current arc might feel a bit dense with the introduction of characters like Shan Joya, various princesses, ambitious concubines, and a host of other supporting roles. I understand that it can be a little tiring when the spotlight momentarily shifts from our beloved protagonists.
          
          Please believe me when I say this is a crucial, albeit temporary, phase. We are in the midst of a tumultuous palace coup, a period of intricate political maneuvering and dangerous power struggles. These supporting characters, seemingly peripheral at times, are actually vital cogs in the grand machinery of the imperial court. Their actions, allegiances, and even their mere presence directly impact the fates of Zhenzhen, Shan Arxian, and Tan-er. They are the chess pieces on the board, and their movements are essential for setting the stage for the dramatic developments that will ultimately define our main characters' paths.

          This chapter might feel very harsh, but it’s written this way on purpose. The story is not meant to be sweet or gentle. It is about power, betrayal, control, and the pain that comes from love and duty clashing against each other.
          
          Chapter 14 shows the turning point where the mask between Zhenzhen and Shan Arxian starts breaking. Things will only get more complicated from here. The cruelty is not random—it sets up everything that will happen later.
          
          If it feels uncomfortable, that’s because this world is not fair or kind. What happens here is only the beginning.

@darkcloud1987 yes i am watching it ongoing. ep4 just aired yesterday. so far it's so good but a bit slow burn though 

@darkcloud1987 just finished the 1st chapter and i am in awe! no wonder you took your time. i will reread the whole book now. 

@asgno_01 p.s are you watching Lingorm new series 'only you ' ? I have not started yet.  Waiting for it to finish first. 

@asgno_01 Aww thank you .  Actually I have not posted any new chapters because I have been rewriting book 1 completely . I was dissatisfied with it. Basically it's a new book . This version is completely different from the past one. Do try to read it and tell me how you like that or the older version.
