Davao Medical School Foundation, Inc. (DMSF) was established in July 1976 and ranked 6th  among the best performing medical schools from the Philippines. The major aim behind establishing this college is to offer recognition to the physicians and professionals, who have been both serving rural communities and urban centers of Mindanao. The University's College of Medicine is the primary faculty in Mindanao, devoted to supplying medical education and instruction of their diploma worldwide caliber to serve healthcare to both urban and rural communities. Moreover, It functions College of Dentistry, Center of Education, Research and Development in Health (CHED) and also an Institute of Primary Health Care (IPHC).The University has approximately 125 College members that are medical professionals and professionally seasoned.
