D.J. (Dave) Butler is the author of forthcoming steampunk fantasy adventure for middle readers, The Kidnap Plot (Knopf, summer 2016).  His series Rock Band Fights Evil and his novels Crecheling and City of the Saints are published by Wordfire Press. He's represented by Deborah Warren of East/West Literary.

Dave is by training a lawyer and for a living he teaches business acumen to large corporation employees for Acumen Learning.  He plays guitar, likes boardgames, and teaches his kids astronomy as fast as he can learn it.
