Hi. If anyone used to read my story "The Last Boys" on WriteOn, you may wish to know that the finished story is now a two-book series. The first book, "Jackrabbit Crow", is now available through Amazon in eBook and Paperback editions. If you decide to check it out, I hope you enjoy it! Thank you.

David, I always wanted to read the rest of The Last Boys. I remember it from WriteOn. I sure miss that site sometimes. Wattpad is not the same. I hope you're doing well.

Yes, Clarkesworld aren't great for feedback. The reply I got was a simple "It didn't grab me". But at least they replied! Beneath Ceaseless Skies was more constructive with their feedback, explaining why my story was rejected. From what I remember from your stories, I think they might fit better with their house style than mine. It's worth a go anyway.
Hope you enjoy your Spring break.

@davidmckeown2801 I teach English composition, grammar, and Spanish at what we call a "community college" here in the States. Spring Semester ends this week, and I have spent endless hours marking some of the most gosh awful writing I have ever seen in my 30+ year career, and I'm still not finished!

Yes, I submitted a story to Clarksworld three or four years ago with "no joy" and no explanation as to why my story was rejected. Once I'm free of classes, I have several writing projects, including some short stories, that I'm working on and hope to submit sometime soon.

Yes, me too. No indication of returning to the office anytime soon which suits me just fine. I doubt I'll ever be back there full-time. The past year has proved it's just not necessary. And along with the book, I've managed to finish a couple of short stories too. Sent one off to the online magazines Beneath Ceaseless Skies and Clakesworld. No joy. Have you ever submitted to them?

Thanks for following back, David. I am also a WriteOn refugee. I like to follow everyone from WriteOn and try support my fellow refugees.

@SusanKSaltos No problem Susan. Thanks for the Follow. I have to admit I miss WriteOn as I just can't get used to publishing on Wattpad, so there's only a couple of chapters of my wip novel here. I'll get round to uploading the rest one day...
