Hello everyone!
Like most of the rest of the world, my little corner has been hit with COVID19 as well. However, since my job considered me to be an "essential worker", it's still very much business as usual for me. For which I'm very much glad for.
So far my job has kept me mostly safe from the virus that seems to be slowly taking over our planet. However, I do work in a hospital and so I could be sent from my job to work the front lines at any time. So far, knock on wood, our area hasn't been hit particularly hard. With any luck, by staying safe at home, we'll flatten the curve and this will continue.
After working very hard for several months, I have some time off. I was supposed to be enjoying "Mom's Weekend" at my daughters college but instead we'll be moving her out of her dorm. So with some free time on my hands I actually found the time to sit down and do a bit of writing.
The short story I'm about to post for you, is something that was part of an anthology a few years ago. So I've cleaned it up a bit, and hopefully you'll enjoy my "odd" take on a story about soulmates.
