Regarding Bleach:
Keir's death is necessary for the continuation of the story; she will still be present throughout the rest of the narrative, even after death, by appearing in Hell.
It will still be a horror novel with some romance intertwined from this point on.
TW: Self-mutilation and other themes will also be present.
