Shadowhunters - Alec lightwood (have him be immortal somehow and send him into the past where he meets Magnus and they get together decades/centuries before they would have originally met & live through the decades together - by the time the show starts Alec would be more confident and sure of himself and not as bound by his duty to his family like he was in the show!

            Thank you, if this one doesn't work out I'll probably end up doing a Supernatural one, so thanks for your other suggestions too. <3 I'm starting Heart of Iron tonight so I think it's put me in the mood for Time-travel.

I started sometime 2023 before duo reformatted then got confused before trying out a few more different languages before going back and restarting learning German (some days the only reason I use it is to keep the streak up, whereas other days I'm doing multiple lessons) I'm on a 934 streak at the moment

@HogwartzPrincess I’d like to try French sometime but Italian seems to be clicking quite well for me. I’ve grown up seeing my Italian speaking grandparents and my dad can speak it too so that might have something to do with it.
            
            German has always interested me but it seemed harder and I always want to know Italian/french. Good luck learning it . Did you start long ago?

@deadlymistletoe_137 cool, I tried a few different languages such as Spanish, French, Italian, Norwegian before settling on German it just seems to click better for me

            I know and I agree completely. I think that’s sadly also part of why they skip it though-they think only the fast packed movies are worth it and maybe don’t even think about how much freedom it gives.
            
            The first Thor movie also gives a lot of freedom: like after he’s banished he could land anywhere on earth and meet any character and get up to who knows what while still having the Asgard/Loki plot make sense.

            It's a shame fanfic writers choose to skip The Dark world. Imo it's one of the only mcu movies that give writers the freedom to do whatever they want bcos the movie isn't busy and the pacing is steady. It's easy to manipulate & change however you want :/
            
            Plus. Thor's best look hands down.

            Ooh I can’t wait for that! I’m so glad you’re gonna include TDW! (Presumably for Into The Pevensie?) Every WTM fic that gets that far completely skips it.
