The Prince's Prized Possession will be going on hiatus until the end of February.
          	
          	I don't want to, I really don't want to! But after my lingering flu finally seemed to get better, I got a whole new upper respiratory something that knocked me out again. I know some readers weren't happy with the short chapter that came out last week, and I totally understand.
          	
          	So for my health, and for the quality you readers deserve, I've decided I need to take a hiatus. The story is planned. I'm writing it in order (with the addition of whatever Bai and Kamau seem to decide they need to get up to in between plot points) and I'm planning that the next chapter will be a bit emotional.
          	
          	That said, I'm sorry readers. I know there aren't many of you right now, but I hope you understand.

IMPORTANT!!!! REGARDING THE PRINCE'S PRIZED POSSESSION 
          Wattpad did something weird outside of "publishing" my scheduled chapters (removing it from the queue and changing it to a draft.) Wattpad unpublished my whole nook and turned the chapters into drafts, which I had to manually republish. It looks like the individual view counts and comments are gone. It sucks, and I apologize to my readers. Thank you for understanding.

Wattpad did the thing again, where it claimed to release a scheduled chapter and instead took it out of the queue as a draft. Sorry to everyone who was waiting for the new chapter of The Prince's Prized Possession! It should be available now!

Okay, something weird happened where I had chapter 19 of The Prince's Prized Possession scheduled to auto post today, and I got a notification that it was posted, but when I checked my chapters it was still listed as a draft. My apologies to anyone who was waiting on the update! I've gone and manually posted it. Enjoy!

          I'm getting so many commission fishing "artists" on new chapter updates and I'm absolutely tired of deleting them (⁠-⁠_⁠-⁠;⁠)⁠・⁠・⁠・
          
          I know I wasn't very active on Wattpad for a while, but is this how things are now? I'm starting to dread Wattpad notifications because 95% of the time it's a fisher instead of an actual reader.
          
          I'm not sure what to do. Do I leave the comments and let them trash up the comment section, or do I keep deleting them? Help?

            It seems blocking them would do no good either, because they're using throw away accounts in the first place. I'll try to ignore them, then.

You’re not alone! It’s blatantly obvious when they’ve had a profile for five days, follow 140 profiles, and “love your story” despite not knowing anything about it. Personally, I just ignore them - lack of engagement hopefully shows that I am not a viable target, and directs their efforts elsewhere.

So... Bittersweet news, I believe. My bid for a contract on The Prince's Prized Possession has been rejected. Almost three times. The other platform was interested, until I started writing and shared my outline. 
          
          It's on them to curate their platform, as they're allowed to do, and they weren't interested in storylines mostly focused on personal growth. Turns out non-anglican main characters are also a no-go.
          
          Disappointed yes, but it also means The Prince's Prized Possession will be posted here in full as it's written. Even if I made the changes the other platform wanted, it wouldn't be anywhere close to the story I wanted to write from the start.
          
          That said, time to pick myself up, dust myself off, and go back to enjoying this silly little free time hobby of making imaginary people kiss.

I'm sure this goes without saying, but for "artists" to leave vague comments on a new story trying to get the author to check out your socials and request cover art, without actually interacting with the story itself, is a huge insult. From one artist to "another," that's scammy as f*ck.
          
          You want to pitch an idea, go to an author's DMs. Don't clog the comment section with that nonsense. Done seen too many of these.
