I’ve decided to unpublish all of my writing. There are a lot of reasons for that, but mostly they come back to the fact that I simply don’t trust Wattpad anymore. Seeing stories being taken down without warning, seeing the same trope-riddled romance novels being promoted over original and interesting work, has made me realize that this isn’t a site that truly cares about writers. This isn’t the home I want for my works. As I’ve been editing offline, I’ve realized that writing for votes and comments and adds and gratification is not healthy, nor is it what I want. So Wattpad for me will become a social app, and I’m going to continue editing my works this summer, and hopefully seek out publication within a few years.           Wattpad was great for a while, and I have fond memories, but this place is too far gone for it to be worth staying. Nonetheless, thank you to the people in this community who made my time here special <3

ONC prompts are out! Who else is participating? Which prompt are you using? I’m overwhelmed this year—there are so many cool prompts and I’ve got some serious thinking to do…
          
          I always make friends during ONC and I’m super excited to make more this year! Even though this is gonna be writing project #3 for the year and all of them overlap almost perfectly (yay deadlines!) so I’m a little panicked. But that panic can wait because IT’S ONC Y’ALL!

I'm so genuinely excited about my rewrite of The Prince and the Punk. I'm only four chapters in, but I'm rewriting it almost completely from scratch and I'm loving it so far. I'm changing a lot already (which is why I'm not posting chapter by chapter) but I'm keeping the bones of the story mostly intact. Hopefully this will end up being something I feel comfortable sharing with people I know, because I have a good feeling. I've definitely improved since I started writing here and I'm excited to see how this turns out. I have zero clue when it will be up here but hopefully it'll only be a few months and not a small eternity. 
          
          I'm also planning on re-titling it, so if those of you who've read it have any suggestions, please let me know! I'm wide open at the moment.

Just wanted to hop on and wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. I know not everyone celebrates, and I know that as a holiday there are some problematic things about it, but even if it is the troubled middle child of holidays, I still think it’s important to have a day where we spend time with family and acknowledge all the things we have to be grateful for. That’s all we really need. Everything else is optional, including the turkey (seriously, we had pizza). So happy Thanksgiving everyone. I’m grateful for all the people I’ve met on here <3

So, I’m faced with a dilemma…
          It’s officially November, which means NaNoWriMo is here and I can no longer put off deciding whether to participate. But I still have no idea if I want to. Here’s the thing: I want to desperately. I need motivation to write, and NaNoWriMo season always gives me the warm fuzzies. However, I’m definitely not gonna have any time to do any of it, and even if I start, I won’t finish. But on the other hand, writing literally anything at this point would be helpful to me and NaNoWriMo will make me want to write literally anything. And it goes round and round like that. So, dear Wattpad friends, what do you think? Should I bother?
          Also hi. Been a minute. I got cast as the Queen of Hearts in our school production of Alice By Heart (best musical ever) so it has consumed my life and I’m constantly either rehearsing, learning lines, or catching up on late work. Which leaves so little time for writing it’s wild. Anyway how is everyone?
