" ⠀cried aoxian.  but despite the anxiousness,  it masked the flusters he felt.  it was truly making the director melt,  his loosely wrapped arms seemingly pulling her to him even closer just below her waist. ⠀"  no more...  i-  i don't think i can handle anymore..  "

〝  awe,  if you keep being this adorable,  i'll eat you up~ ＂ misaki cooed before lightly biting at his cheek in a playful manner,  allowing her hands to rest along aoxian's shoulders〝  and you seem to like my compliments hm?  i'd be more than happy to tell you more if you want! ＂

〝  you'll always be heard whenever i'm around ＂ misaki soothed as her arms enveloped aoxian like a blanket,  letting his weight slump against hers with a smile〝  and don't go doing that.  it's bad for your health too keep your emotions bottled up.  feel free to let everything out,  i won't judge ＂

" ⠀he frowned,  and soon slumped his face just against the curve of the yokai's shoulder. ⠀"  waah...  you're so kind to me,  misaki.  i can't hide my emotions very well whenever i am with you..  " ⠀aoxian likely wanted to hide his face,  he was too fainthearted about this..（he's about to cry.）

the yokai's pointed ears drooped at hearing his admittance,  her earlier playfulness being dropped in favor of showing that she was genuinely listening to his words instead of simply playing them off〝  the effort you put in clearly shows,  and anyone who doesn't see that is the actual joke themselves ＂ she spoke in a firm yet soft tone while looking at the director〝  aoxian,  always remember that there are those supporting you even when you feel like everything is against you,  okay?  ＂

a small noise of surprise could be heard from misaki as she was suddenly scooped into his hold,  her later softly laughing at his determination to help her sleep〝  it's really alright aoxian,  i promise ＂ she said once her laughter eventually died down,  her now deciding on huddling closer against his form〝  look at you being so energetic all of a sudden ＂ she commented in amusement while once more cupping the director's face,  now setting a slight squish upon his cheek

" ⠀he lunged forward and hoisted her onto his lap,  as if all the drowsiness had drowned out of his system;  now he was keen on getting her to sleep.

〝  looks like someone's still tired.  continue resting if you need to ＂ she gently urged while using a hand to cup aoxian's features — her thumb rubbing against soft flesh〝  and i'm quite a light sleeper,  so i ended up waking up sooner than expected.  though it's fine seeing as i wanted to make sure you were alright ＂
