Were you reading Bound by a Broken Note by Yoonminmatchmaker, if so, what happened? I went to look to see if she had updated because it had been a while, and everything is gone.

Jillybean61085

@debkerr53 Yeah, I really liked that story too!

@Jillybean61085 well it's weird. Yes I was reading it for sure. She changed her name at some point in the story so I went there to yoonminmatchmaker but the story has disappeared from my library.( I just noticed as I went to find it after I got your message) I don't know what happened but when I go to search button there is no story by that name and no profile for her. Maybe she lost her account or deleted. Sad cause I liked that story.

I just saw that you posted on my page, but it won't let me view it.

Jillybean61085

@debkerr53 Oh, it probably wasn't you then. It was on a Yoonmin story, one where the author changed Jimin's gender towards the end of the story.

@Jillybean61085 yes I'm definitely on youtube alot. I don't watch TV much anymore with all the craziness going on in the world so I travel the world of youtube and instagram looking for new ffs and just general fun knowledge. I don't comment there much but the odd time I do it is Jimin or funny pets or something important. I don't work anymore so that's my new entertainment

@debkerr53 No you posted it, and I was able to see a bit through the notification, but it wouldn't let me go to it fully. I'll definitely check it out though! Also, do you go on YouTube because I feel like I found you yesterday on a comment?

Hey, just wanted to tell you that you're such a wonderful woman, and so kind hearted! I just read the comment you left to apobangpo_forever7, and I think she not only needed to hear that, but also needs someone on her side telling her how important she is and that they understand her feelings! Thank you for helping her to not feel alone! Love you!

@Jillybean61085 that's absolutely right, the part about bringing family shame, all the elders, sometimes in whole villages, judge the girls and women and if they do anything wrong or not traditional the whole family and village will shun them. One of the women whom I am friends with her father died when kids were young and her mother is being shunned to this day because she refused to marry again. ( she is an awesome woman). It's very much based off of control as women are considered property and domestic slaves. It is so sad. I am glad( like you say) I was born in canada and my parents were english so my mom had to fight for her independence but she did. I never even entertained the thought of letting someone control me ( hence the reason I never got married) but these woman have no choice and that wants to make me cry.

@debkerr53 I agree, my brother in law is from Jordan, and their way of life is completely different than ours, which caused a lot of conflict in the beginning of his and my sister's marriage. Now they have been married for 22 years and because he has lived here this whole time, a lot of his beliefs have changed. I don't think most of those countries are based off of control when it comes to the way women are looked at, I believe they're stuck in a traditional norm, and it's hard for them to even think about change. Whether they think they're dishonoring their ancestors or are just scared of such a dramatic change. Especially considering one of the biggest issues is bringing shame to the family, and are worried about how society will view them.

@Jillybean61085 older countries and the older generations have a very hard time giving up traditions and controlling their children for family honor. It's tough on these kids especially now they have access to internet. Heck look how people in korea view homosexuality? Even in this day , God forbid if a parent finds out their child loves someone of the same sex !
It's weird to me as my parents and I never even thought about it or they never really cared that I lived on my own, or had the jobs I wanted. It's hard for them especially since girls have out the worst but sometimes are the smartest. I have lived all over the world so have seen many cultures and I still think the middle eastern countries are the hardest places on the planet for women.

Hello my dear :)

I've started a new yoonmin book called „Put it on me" — a slow-burn drama about reinvention, ambition, and the dangerous line between performance and truth.

„When Park Jimin leaves his old life behind for a fresh start in Tokyo, acting becomes more than a career move.. especially when he's forced into close orbit with Min Yoongi, a famous co-star who is hard to impress. Everything becomes even more tricky when they both agree to a wicked deal."

I update every two days, so if you love slow burn tension, quiet intensity, complex characters, and stories about running from your past while trying to become someone new — you might want to check this one out.

          Thank you in advance!! <3
