I made it to the next round of the Open Novella Contest! That means it's time to post the next couple of chapters of Equal Opportunity Mercs. :D

Notifications. You're probably about to get a lot of them. In a few hours, I'll post the first act of my new book, Accordant. The Prologue and first chapter are already up, and I have a dozen more chapters to hit Publish on. So in case of getting notification spam, you might want to switch off that notification in your Settings for the time being. Fair warning!
          
          As for what I'm posting--it's a new novel due out this year that combines elements of my past two stories, Sovereign and Connected, Inc. (Hence the name Accordant.) If you've read either of those, the settings and some of the characters will be familiar to you. However, it's not a sequel to either, and stands on its own. 
          
          Feedback is appreciated as always! Hope y'all enjoy the read--and keep an eye out for new chapters coming soon!

It's been a busy time. I have a new book coming out tomorrow (Connected, Inc., part of which you can read on Wattpad) and I have a few new stories in the works. Falling Stories is my Watty's contender; it's a vampire-led tragic comedy, definitely worth checking out. I thought I would have A Book Of Lost Words and my Otherworld story ready in time, but alas. I'm still working on them though.

I don't always write on Wattpad anymore, but when I do, it's to warn you that the FCC is going to vote to repeal net neutrality regulations on December 14. 
          
          Not sure why that's important? I wrote a story called "Un-Neutral Selection" to illustrates just one of the many nightmarish scenarios we'll face if the FCC votes to take away the freedom of the internet.
          
           Want to take action? Reach out to your representatives in Congress (tweeting and emailing are good, as is calling their offices). They can block the FCC and preserve the guidelines we have in place to keep the Internet free.

So it's been a while... a long while. Lots of life changes. And I've been working on a new book! For anyone who might have read the VASHTI sessions or Illuminated, there are characters from both. I've completed thirty chapters, and I've posted the first five here. It's my first draft, so there will be corrections later on. For now, I hope you enjoy the new story and I'd love to hear any comments!

Two updates...!
          
          First: Please check out and vote for my new story "Behavior"! I've included it here for the TNT Horror Contest. Share it with your friends, give me your comments, help it get to the next round of voting! 
          
          I also submitted my first Wattpad short story, "Eventuate," to the same contest. Depending on how long you've been following me, you may have read it already. Either way,  please show it some love as well!
          
          Second: The vampire novel "Don't Look Down" is now known as "Moonset Chasers." I changed the cover to reflect this, but it is also only a temporary cover. The content is the same, just the title is different; I thought it was more reflective of where I'll be going with the novel... literally.

Let me tell you about the prologue I just posted.
          
          I had been working on it for weeks, on and off at work. Since I was not supposed to be using my phone, I typed it on an old LG that used to be my backup phone. Then, on Wednesday, I somehow managed to overwrite the entire file, just as I was almost finished with it!
          
          So I rewrote the prologue from memory in two days, this time saving it to my iPhone. It is a bit different to the first, lost version, and I will probably tweak it more than a few times; but here, at last, is a proper introduction to my vampire novel, Don't Look Down. It's just under 2,000 words long - I would love it if you'd let me know what you think!
          
          As for being a regular on Wattpad, am I back yet? Am I not? Well... I'll let you know once I do! :)
