NOTICE!!
Hello humans,
So I recently went back and reread Chained Desires as an actual reader (mistake of the century ) and... yeah. Maryam and I need to have a serious conversation.
I gave you guys a baddie in the blurb and then handed you someone who lost herself completely the moment Asad walked in. And looking back, I get why some of you called it out in the comments. You were right. I heard you, even if it took me a while to actually SEE it.
So once my exams are done (next week In Sha Allah ), I'll be going through the book to give Maryam's arc the depth and dignity it actually deserves. Nothing is being deleted, no plot points are changing — I'm just adding more breathing room, more of her internal fight, more of the baddie she was always supposed to be underneath the chaos. Think of it as giving the story room to actually breathe.
Your reads, your comments, your time with this book — none of that is going anywhere. I'm just making sure the next person who picks it up gets the version of Maryam she always deserved to be.
Thank you for loving this book enough to be honest with me about it.❤️
Operation Fix Maryam starts soon.
