should i focus on detail or dialogue??

It depends sometimes. If it’s a character-driven scene then more dialogue would usually be necessary. It has to fit the mood. In a slow scene, descriptions of an enviroment would be more detailed and fitting. But in an action scene, nobody’s going to stop to see if there are any thorns on a rose bush.
