            Iracebeth glanced toward him from where she sat before her vanity, fingers carefully removing one jeweled ring at a time. The sound of the mattress dipping beneath his weight earned only the faintest narrowing of her crimson eyes.
            
            “You were staying regardless of my answer, mon petit chat du malheur [my little cat of misfortune].” Her tone was dry, though noticeably lacking its usual edge.
            
            At the question about her crowns, she finally looked over properly, gaze lingering on the lazy sprawl of him across her bed before a quiet hum left her.
            
            “If you stole one, I suspect you would wear it terribly.” A pause. “Though I imagine you would enjoy irritating the court with it far too much for me to stop you.”

                `` I'll take that as you want me to stay . `` he was gonna stay anyways . especially since his presence wasn't wanted in these royal halls most times by the red queen herself . a slight purr left as he flopped on the bed lazily . `` you have such pretty crowns . you wouldn't mind if I took one for myself , would you ? ``

            Iracebeth’s eyes narrowed at the feeling of his tail brushing against her, though the irritation in her expression never quite reached her eyes.
            
            “Mm. And is insufferable smugness your family’s inheritance?” she murmured dryly, smoothing invisible wrinkles from the sleeve of her gown before finally glancing up at him. “You hover like a particularly intrusive shadow.”
            
            A pause.
            
            “…Though I suppose unbirthdays are marginally less unbearable when you are the one ruining them.”

            Kirosha gave the other male a dissapointed look , as what he always did when he had a conversation like this .  " i know . . "  was all he managed to mutter , giving a small kick to the ground below him as his head tilted down .
