Praying for an ‘alive’ update xx

So, I've recently gotten back into the musical Newsies, would it be at all interesting if I made a Fanfic on that? or should I wait until I've finished my current stories?

Ok I have a question, why is it all of the fanfics I’ve read with a Male OC are so incredibly good? But then more than half of the ones with a female OC are copied plots and overpowered characters?
