³ MOON didn't have a family. he grew up in foster and group homes. none of which liked him enough to keep him. they were TOO MUCH to deal with. bringing him into public was a chore , he wouldn't talk to anyone , he panicked over every little thing. he wasn't a kid people would be able to love.
it was after another move to another group home that they discovered ballet. the woman in the house next door gave lessons at her home. she didn't have many students , but she didn't seem to mind.
moon would watch in and recreate the moves to the best of their abilities. he wasn't great at it , but it was fun. doing it made him the calmest they had ever been in their life.
eventually , he was caught. he had expected to be yelled at — to be punished just as he always was when they did something wrong. instead , the woman had been intrigued. he was permitted to come over and get proper lessons — as long as no other students were present. apparently , they were at a higher level of skill then they should start out with. his recreations of the moves were what intrigued the teacher so much.
she was kind , criticism only ever constructive , and never with anything more than a firm voice. she didn't yell , she didn't hit .. she just instructed and softly corrected. it was different .. he learned to be comfortable around someone , panic gone.
then they were to be moved again. they had been absolutely distraught at the news. running over to her house to share the news while a sobbing and heaving mess. she calmed him down and promised everything would be okay. they didn't really believe her , but the words were still comforting.
