@davytwn Depending on what type of writer you are, (because a lot of writers just like to write whatever comes to their mind), it might be easier to plan, for example writing down your characters, their personality traits and backgrounds, almost as if you're describing someone you already know so when you're writing a scene in your book, you can just think what would *insert name* do right now. Also whenever I write I brainstorm a basic overview of what I want the chapters to be about, and write down my notes and ideas whenever I think of something (mainly because I'm hella forgetful but it helps). For example I'll write:
Chapter 1: *name* does this, *name* finds out this, they go to *place*.
Also, if you are trying to get a lot of diversity in your story or make it looks like you write really fancy you can search up synonyms for a word you would have used to make it more interesting. Make sure that you include a lot about what the character are thinking/feeling ESPECIALLY if its from a first person perspective, if you want to get fancy you can switch up whos perspective its from and show some insight into another characters life.
Hope this helps, feel free to ask for any more help if you want it. And hopefully this makes sense because I'm writing it at like 1:30am. Have a great rest of your day/night!
