            “ on second thought ?  i might consider  ,  your jokes suck .  ” he poked right back at the other , there was no ill intent in maverick’s words .  at least for the most part , sure , mike’s jokes did fall flat at times but it would be far too quiet without them .  “ not my fault you live in a two-story .  ”

     `` exactly . . and besides who would suffer through my jokes if you got hurt like that ? `` a small smile of his own formed as he shifts just a bit to make more room for maverick . `` is getting to my window that bad ? you always complain about it . ``

            “ ha  ,  yeah  ,  guess i wouldn’t be too much fun..  now would i ?  ” he gave another grief smile before plopping down onto mike’s bed .  “ you don’t have to tell me twice .  climbing to your window was exhausting alongside the bad dreams .  ”

            “ i’ll be sure i won’t forget so i can rub it in later .  ” he laughed despite the nudge .  “ well  ,  lucky for you i don’t see a point in going if you’re not .  where’s the fun in that ?  ”

      `` ahhh , shut up . `` he huffs out , once more nudging maverick with his foot . `` ugh ! im going to miss the chics ? this sucks !  `` despite the complaint , he didn't truly care about that part , but he wouldn't admit that out loud .

            “ never thought i’d see the day where michael tozier gave me a genuine compliment .  ” although catching him off guard , maverick found it amusing and couldn’t help but form a small smile .  “ stuck on ‘big brother’ duties  ,  huh ?  that blows .  but i mean i heard some of the popular girls will be there .  ”
