I'm 19 years old and have been writing since I was able to. By thirteen, I had started writing my first novel and had seen my short scripts come to live by the performing arts department at my local YMCA. At eighteen, I published Roses are Read, a collection of poems that express the ups and downs of teenage life. My goal as a young teenage author & poet is to reach out to other adolescents; not only to young writers, but also to struggling and questioning teens who may doubt anyone else understands. I want to let teens know there's someone else out there who feels what they feel.
