For me, a paid review isn’t about buying positive feedback—it’s compensation for the time, reading, analysis, and content creation involved. Authors reach out because they want quicker opinions so their book doesn’t keep lying in the TBR.
Paid reviews aren’t about getting praise; it’s simply a token of gratitude for the time and effort. My feedback is always honest, whether it’s positive or critical. Transparency and trust with my audience matter to me the most.
