❝    Right.  Okay.  Well,  sorry excuses aside.  Why are you here,  Superman?    ❜❜   THE USE OF AN ALIAS WAS POINTLESS.  Clark was already here,  Alfred invited him in for dinner.  In fact,  the whole league was invited because he thought I needed to mingle more with friends.  So I did.  Dinner was over an hour ago, it was nice.  Apparently so nice that Clark decided to come back a second time. Even with the flash flood— Ma Kent— and whatever else he had going on. Immediately after the dinner,  he watched a movie with me and the kids. TUCKED THEM INTO BED FOR ME.  I cleaned the remaining plates,  despite Alfred’s insistence.  By the time I was done,  CLARK WAS GONE.  NOW,  SOMEWAY,  SOMEHOW, he ended up sniffing his way into the Cave.  Like a dog with a bone.  Even when duty calls.
