My fellow InSomnia,
Four years ago, I fell in love with a band named Dreamcatcher. I met the girls four times during those years, most recently just a week ago. (Yes, my unlucky number is four, and yes, I had a bad feeling about it…)
Jokes aside, I feel so incredibly grateful for this outcome. While it means our OT7 content may slow down, I am so grateful that the girls will continue as Dreamcatcher together. I do not believe in permanence in general, as part of my religious beliefs. But when I tell you that I believe Dreamcatcher is forever, I mean that from the bottom of my heart. The energy they have created together is something that cannot be erased.
I would also like to share for the first time here that I met my fiancée through Dreamcatcher. She and I met in the middle of my InSomnia journey as friends, and she waited until recently to confess very deep feelings. In that moment, I knew I had found my wife. I feel so blessed to have met someone who understands my deep love for Dreamcatcher. I feel, perhaps a bit narcissistically, that this shift lined up with our relationship timeline in a very serendipitous way that makes me recognize the band was in our lives to connect us. We both warmly anticipate the day we tell the girls that they led us to marry.
In my journey with Dreamcatcher, I have also become closer with my mother, who fell in love with their music as well and became a hardcore SuA stan! I am so grateful to the girls for the opportunities they gave us to connect through. My mother has now become my closest friend, which - as any adult child would tell you - is a rare gift.
I would like to wrap this up by saying - I’m coming back. This platform is a core part of my InSomnia life. I would like to keep the sevenness of it all alive consistently in my writing during times where we may have a lack of content. I will post another announcement regarding the new schedule I choose shortly.
