Just my advice:
When you write any kind of story try and separate the paragraphs so it's easier and more clear for readers to read it. Also if you have characters speaking separate it like the paragraphs.
Example for character speech:
"Hey!" John yelled from across the table
"Hey?" I muster up a small smile that soon fades.
That is what character speech looks like. Much easier to read instead of bunched up speech that's not clear.
Example of bunched up speech:
"Hi!" John smiled at me
"Lol what?" I say back shooting a glare
Life was easy until I said lol what I don't know stuff that's why you study
That is a example of not to clear speech.
Just some advice and also try to make descriptions of things or people more clear.
