A writer living in the temperate forests of the Willamette Valley  of Oregon, now a retired baby boomer, who has one published book  "The Eve Chronicles" about when she first moved to Oregon when she lives in her tent in the Wallowa Mountain in eastern Oregon doing timber inventory for the Forest Service. The other foresters in camp are other vagabonds who move camp every few weeks to survey new ground. 

The book contains three books "From the Waters of Coyote Springs"," Felix and Eve" and" The Arrangement". The second book Felix and Eve is when Eve lives the summer on the coast in the town of Gold Beach, as a live in caregiver to an elderly man who just had heart bi-pass surgery. At first he's cranky but eventually the two develop a close relationship that some thing is too close. During the evenings they play cards and he starts to open up, telling her about the days he worked for Al Capone the notorious gangster.

The third book "The Arrangement" is years later when Eve is a retired baby boomer living on her property on Moon Mountain,  Vinnie, the gardener lives in a yurt in the back of her property. Vinnie is in love with Eve but remains silent. Every year she gets the same letter with new charm for her bracelet, and a key. She goes to live on Catalina Island with a former lover who has Multiple Sclerosis. They reminisce about the time they were together during the seventies in Eugene.
