stranger things vol 2 / thoughts tw: opinions
maybe im a hater and i might ruffle some feathers but idgaf but I felt like volume 2 was soo weak. I only cared about lumax because they’re endgame but the rest of this was mumbo jumbo. I felt like nobody really made progress into actually stopping vecna, it was so much talking and it was completely dragged out. I lowkey do not care about nancy or jonathan, even though i think they’re cute, it just seems forced atp. for steve to STILL be obsessed with nancy and fighting jonathan over her is stupid…they need to give steve a better storyline than that. plus there’s so many plot lines going on with the kids, vecna tying to take over the world, el and kali, the pregnant women in the upside down, the military with the gate…its a lot and too much to wrap up. millie bobby brown i feel like wasn’t really playing el since el didn’t feel like el??? i just feel like everybody’s character is all over the place
my biggest questions are what happened to the gate in russia??? did we just forget the russians have access to the upside down?? (im only concerned with the russia plotline cause i wanted to see daddy enzo again) how come kali is the only child experiment with illusion powers if we seen every other experiment with have telekinesis??? was mkultra fake since henry gave all the experiments his power through his blood??? what happened to sam owens??? why did henry choose to kidnap these kids?? the upside down isn’t really another dimension?????
I also feel like it’s no longer mysterious and creepy. one of the reasons why I liked season 4 and vecna as a villain was that he was unknown and he killed people to end their suffering. I feel like his mo has completely changed.
this is why I say they should’ve just released the entire season…or split it up into two parts, not three installments. it’s soooo dragged out. it’s tewwww much.
