I don’t read nonblack oc x haymitch, nonpoc oc x peeta, and I don’t read nonpoc oc x percy, I feel that not having those aspects of their relationships ignores so much their love, their dynamic, and personality in and outside of their relationships. I also feel like a lot of it is colorism and racism, especially as lenore dove and annabeth are both black. lenore dove is also romani and native in canon, and katniss is romani and native too. I hate when fanfic writers ignore the implications of race their mcs have just bc they’re writing a fanfic….
