Stupid rant alert but I recently got back onto Wattpad to read some romance books because I’m a hoe for cute romances and I keep reading books where the male love interest eventually ends up flirting with a random girl at a bar whilst the female love interest in watching and OH MY LORDE - this is the reason why I left the app. The amount of hate that women with breast implants or women that are just generally okay with their sexuality get is disgusting. Like it seems like it’s only okay for a female character to flirt and be in touch with their femininity/ sexuality when they’re the main love interest and any other woman who does it is just a ‘whore’. Along with that IMPLANTS DONT EQUATE TO LESS WORTH. Jesus CHRIST just because a woman is described as flirting and having ‘fake breasts’, doesn’t mean she is any less worthy of the mans attention than the main love interest. It’s 2019 guys, can we please stop bashing other women for getting plastic surgery and stop making women with implants suddenly the ‘whore’ whose only there to make the main female love interest jealous. I understand literary devices are needed to further the plot and I understand sometimes women do have to be used to evoke a realisation within the female love interest but USE CHARACTER DIVERSITY PEOPLE. It’s always the same: blonde female described as flirting shamelessly and having huge ‘fake’ tits. I STAN H E R. Way more than the main female love interest whose sat in the corner bashing this poor woman for simply having fun with her night. It’s an ugly way of thinking and the comments to these stories are just full of other women absolutely shredding women like her apart. U G L Y. If you have to rely on bashing other women to make your character seem more desirable or more relatable then I’m sorry but that’s gross.
