            "is there a reason to be afraid?"  he tilted his head in silent confusion.  "I sense no threat."

            "the past remains no matter how much you long for it not to.  a lack of acceptance does not equal truth."  they had seen death go in and out of contact with things that interested it.  benji did not usually care  ,  but being directly faced with one was intriguing.

⠀ ⠀ a scoff.  a hurt one,  a tired one.  her eyes stay on the herbs in front of her but long fingers have stilled.  mati?  touched by death?  oh,  how she wished.
             ⠀⠀ maybe there was once a time where she had been favored by death.  but that was another life. “i  fear  your  master  means  nothing  to  me  now.  it  cannot  touch  me  anymore.”

            "I am not here to guard you."  he admitted with a blank stare.  "you have been touched by my master  ..  I suppose I grew curious."

will forever be mentally and physically thirteen no matter how much time passes.  has been around for hundreds of years.  he doesn't age or mature. he remains a child.

                                 name  —  not even by its moniker.
                                   
                                              they wear wings that appear to 
            be just a little  TOO  white.     and a halo that shines just a touch  TOO  bright. 
            
            their emotions are very  ..  soft.  they have a hard time feeling them.  they're quiet and monotone.  rarely are they ever loud.  you'll get soft smiles and quiet laughs  —  occasionally  ,  that is.  most of their smiles are fake  —  merely a customer service smile.  when they get comfortable  ,  they'll wear their normal blank face.
            
            benji doesn't  NEED  to eat but
            he  REALLY  enjoys sweets.  he
            doesn't get to treat itself very 
            often  ,  so when they do get to
            eat them  ,  it's very likely you'll 
            get a smile out of them then.
            
                                            benji has a fear of knives   
                                  (  the weapon used to murder him  ) 
                   they also have a fear of raised voices  &&  will
                        often think they're the problem in a bad 
                   situation.  even after all these years  ,  it's what
                                they're conditioned to believe.
            
            since they don't age  ,  it's hard
            to unlearn things from the past.

            who is allowed to go between 
            earth and the realm of the dead.
