Have just posted a brand new piece of work. This one is real, it is a true story of my life and the dog that literally saved and changed it in ways I could never imagine.
This will be ongoing, a mixture of short stories and poetry about My Life, My Love, My Saviour - My Bindi Lyn. Give it a look.

A little snippet from my current piece of work.
What do you think is happening here?

Adjusting his eyes from the brightness of the sun to the gloom beneath the house, Mason struggles to accept what his eyes are trying to tell him. The sight that greets him has him backing away so frantically that he trips and falls to the parched soil beneath him. Scrambling backwards on hands and feet, further away from the horror, Mason reaches for the phone in his pocket. Selecting the recently added number from only minutes before, he begs his call to be answered. After what seems like an eternity, her silken tone floats through the phone. “Lavender!” Mason’s voice trembles and cracks. “I need you! Now!!

Silence can be devastating
          Words can be harsh
          Looks can be deceiving
          Ghosting breaks people's hearts

Smiles from strangers can brighten your day
Kind words can touch your soul
Checking in can change a life
Kindness can go a long way

A hug can heal the deepest of wounds
A shoulder can bear a load
A presence can provide the greatest of comforts
Love is the most sacred of codes.

Happy Friday Everyone ☺️

The breath on the back of my neck is hot and sticky.
If I move, it moves with me. It clings and caresses and there is a faint odour I cannot place.
I usually don't worry about such things. It's not the first or the last time this will happen, but there is something different here. Something that causes my skin to prickle and goose. There is a heaviness and menace to this presence. A darkness that is marking me the longer it remains.

Every line on your face tells a story
They tell a tale of your life
Your struggles, your stresses, your achievements, the funniest and happiest of times
The tough times you have overcome
They speak to the fact that you are still here, you live and you have lived
Don't look at your age lines as a curse or ugly addition to your once perfect face
Wear them proudly, as a badge of honour, a history that is soley yours
Be proud you have reached a time in your life that shows your age
Some people will never reach that honour.
