If you enjoyed 'A Soldier's Guide'. You may also like 'Zombies Are Us'. Oh, and it's not about zombies.

@dodger28 I just read A Soldier’s Guide to Parenting and I love your portrayal of all the characters. You really showed the struggle in changing our beliefs and true character development without romanticizing any of it. It really showed insight to the ‘other side’. No life is easy and your book really helped show ALL the victims of prejudice.

A Soldier's Guide to Parenting is something unlike anything I have read before. It was a unique perspective, but it showed very well the struggles that people face in accepting homosexuality and being accepted for it. It was a bittersweet ending, but those are the best kind.

Thank you @AfreakingGODESS for your kind message. I'm so pleased you found the story interesting. I know it's not easy to read because it's told through Jeff's POV and he's not a nice person. A lot of people find it hard to get through the first couple of chapters so thanks for your perseverance.

I'm wondering: what gave you the idea of a Soldier's Guide to Parenting. (personally, I love the title)

@TheOracleofDelphini I'm not sure. It was just a collection of ideas I think. I wrote the story a couple of years ago. I've always been interested in recent history and wanted to show how much things had changed for the better in a relatively short time. Jeff's views, particularly when it came to dealing with his son, were fairly typical of that period. Thanks for your interest and for pointing out a few mistakes.
